Paramedics treated a man for serious injuries following a crash in Frostenden.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the two-car crash in Gipsy Lane, just off London Road in the village near Southwold, last night (Thursday).

A police spokesman said a man, who is believed to have been driving one of the cars, was taken to hospital after he was freed from his vehicle.

His injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening or life-changing.

Firefighters from Southwold, Halesworth and Lowestoft South were called to the scene at 6.11pm. A brigade spokesman said they had been alerted by the East of England Ambulance Service following the collision involving two cars. The spokesman said: “Fire crews used cutting gear to free one casualty from the vehicle, who was then left in the care of the ambulance service.”

They had left the scene by 7.27pm.

No-one else involved in the crash is believed to have been hurt, the police spokesman said.
