Two Lowestoft men arrested over festive break-ins

TWO men have been arrested in connection with a burglary and also an attempted break-in at homes in Oulton.

The two – a 21-year-old and a 22-year-old, both from Lowestoft – were arrested in connection with the separate raids at Plumtrees and the attempted break-in at a home in Kevington Drive on Christmas Eve, last Friday, December 24.

The men were arrested after a quick-witted resident alerted officers that someone was trying to break into her home.

'Both were interviewed by officers and have now been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on February 10 pending further enquiries,' a police spokesman said.

• Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call DC 703 Quantrill at Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
