POLICE need to trace a teenage boy – thought to be aged around 14-years-old and described as white, with dark hair, wearing blue jeans and a white tracksuit top with the St Georges Cross on it – after two nine-year-old girls reported being followed by him in the Sands Lane area.
The girls were walking along Sands Lane around 8.55am last Wednesday (February 9) when the boy crossed the road near the junction with Whiting Road and started walking behind them. He was walking along with his arms in the air.
The girls sped up and walked into Kevington Drive and the boy walked past them before turning around and following them again. The girls then arrived at their destination and the boy walked past them.
Although there may be an innocent explanation, police need to trace the boy and are asking him, anyone who may have seen the incident, or anyone with information about who he is to call PC 247 Wardrop on 01986 835300.
