TWO teenagers have been arrested after fuel was stolen from a VW car parked in Rider Haggard Lane in Kessingland.

'Police were contacted around 12.10am this morning, Tuesday, November 1, by an alert member of the public,' a police spokesman said. 'Officers immediately attended and the two – a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man – were arrested a short time later on suspicion of theft and going equipped.'

Officers seized fuel cans and a drill.

A car nearby was found to be leaking fuel and it was found the fuel tank had been drilled and damaged.

'Both teenagers are currently in custody at Lowestoft Police Station where they are being interviewed by officers,' the police spokesman added.
