Parents and carers have until the end of the month to submit their application to secure their child's place at a Suffolk secondary school for September 2018.

Last year, Suffolk County Council received 7,171 applications from parents and carers indicating which secondary school they would prefer their child to be educated at from September 2017 in Year 7. More than 93 per cent of applicants received offers for their first preference school and 98pc of applicants received an offer for one of their top three preferred schools.

It is recommended that parents and carers apply online at www.suffolk.gov.uk/admissions before Tuesday, October 31 as they will receive confirmation that the county council has received their application. A completed application must be submitted for every child wanting a Year 7 place at a high school or a Year 9 place at an upper school from September 2018.
