Police closed the A1095 at Reydon after a chemical spill at Halesworth Road this morning
Officers were contacted by the fire service just after 10am after reports that a drum of nitric acid on a vehicle on the road there was leaking.
For public safety vehicles were stopped from travelling along the A1095 while the incident wasdealt with and anyone travelling to or from Southwold was advised to go via Wangford or Wrentham.
• The road was reopened at 1.30pm.
