Fighter aircraft from the 492nd Fighter Squadron, based at RAF Lakenheath, will be conducting close air support training over the northern part of East Anglia from about 9am until noon, the base has said.
US fighter pilots will be training with British joint terminal attack controllers to prepare for future deployments.
"The training will be conducted at medium altitude, which is at or above 10,000 feet," said Capt Aaron Devan, 492nd Fighter Squadron weapons systems officer.
"We're flying at those altitudes to minimize the noise impact on the communities below us.
"We understand how disruptive this training can be and we try to reduce the amount of flight time above the communities,' he said. 'But the training on Monday is necessary, because these are the training areas available to everyone involved.'
