IF the price rise in gas and electricity comes as a shock, as it did to me, there is hope and help.

IF the price rise in gas and electricity comes as a shock, as it did to me, there is hope and help.

I am on a budget plan for electricity and gas paying £20 and £34 a month.

Letters I received told me I needed to pay £35 and £72 a month.

On phoning the company, the assistant asked for both meter readings, looked at my account and my new payments are £25 and £48 - a rise that's true, but fight, don't let these companies dictate.

I'm not happy with the rise but it's not what they wanted me to pay. It's time we stood up for ourselves.
