Van fire tackled in north Suffolk

FIREFIGHTERS spent just over 30 minutes tackling a van fire in Covehithe.

A crew from Wrentham fire station were called to Covehithe Road in Covehithe at 12.05pm today (Wednesday) to deal with the blaze. A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that on arrival the van was 'well alight,' with two breathing apparatus and two hose reels in use.

The scene was cleared by 12.36pm with the crew 'damping down.'
