Fans of all things steam were chuffed to bits at the weekend as they visited the East Anglia Transport Museum in Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft.The museum held its annual steam and vintage weekend with more than 40 steam engines, classic cars and models drawing about 1,000 people.
Fans of all things steam were chuffed to bits at the weekend as they visited the East Anglia Transport Museum in Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft.
The museum held its annual steam and vintage weekend with more than 40 steam engines, classic cars and models drawing about 1,000 people.
The varied collection of trolley buses, engines, steam rollers and jalopies thrilled the visitors, who all enjoyed the chance to inspect the old vehicles and go on one of the museum's vintage buses.
Neil Chilvers, from the museum management committee, said: “People just love seeing these engines and vehicles because they are intrigued how they worked with out all the electrical aids you have today. Most of the engines here are more reliable than most modern modes of transport.”
The Waveney model railway club, the Lowestoft classic vehicle club and the Norfolk military vehicle group took part in the event.
