A coffee shop in Lowestoft is planning some fun and exciting events to mark World Book Day this week.

Sams Coffee Shop, on Bevan Street East, will celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, March 2 with two fantastic offers.

The first offer is for any customer who has a book with them and mentions 'World Book Day' will receive a free hot drink when ordering a sandwich or baguette between 9am and 2pm. A second offer will see Sams hosting a storytelling session, providing milk and cookies for just £1 per person to anyone wearing a fancy dress theme to World Book Day. The offer will begin at 3pm with the storytelling session starting at 4pm. This is aimed at parents with children aged from three to 10.

Antony Parke, customer experience manager, said: 'As part of Access Community Trust we strongly believe in providing fun and exciting ways of supporting the local community and helping people aspire to reach their potential. We believe encouraging people to support World Book Day can have positive influences on people of all ages, and what better way to do that than in a modern, exciting and popular coffee shop which helps support the people of Lowestoft?'
