The Volunteer Centre in Lowestoft has highlighted some opportunities available this month:

Lowestoft Mencap needs a volunteer to take the minutes at meetings and to help out with administration tasks

Out and About needs volunteers to offer support at Ofsted Childcare establishments, helping service-users on a one-to-one basis

The RSPCA charity shop and the Oxfam charity shop are both looking for volunteers

Great Yarmouth and Waveney NHS's community nutrition team is looking for community cooks in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area to a deliver five-week cookery course for beginners.

Club 85 and the Thursday Club need volunteer minibus drivers to take people to and from their homes to the clubs

Pakefield Beachwatch (Marine Conservation Society) needs volunteers to help with litter clean-ups and beach surveys.

St John Ambulance requires a volunteer chairman for its property committee

Cruse Bereavement Care (North Suffolk and Great Yarmouth Branch) needs volunteers to provide bereavement support. Training will be provided and the next sessions will begin on September 18. Volunteers are also needed to help with admin tasks.

EACH Charity Shop (East Anglia's Children's Hospices) is looking for volunteers who would be able to do some lifting and carrying of heavier items.
