A SPECIAL sponsored event is set to hit Lowestoft this Sunday (March 28) as vital funds are raised for a martial arts club that has been left fearing for its future.
The Journal revealed a fortnight ago the plight of the Bushido Martial Arts and Community Fitness Centre in Oulton Broad, which was targeted by thieves overnight on March 5 and March 6.
After burglars escaped with funds estimated at more than 3,500, owner Lee Wall is encouraging members, their families, friends and locals to boost the club as a sponsored walk around Normanston Park takes place this Sunday.
'We are doing the sponsored walk, which will be a maximum of five laps around the park, from 10am on Sunday, and we would like people to come down, support us and donate to the cause,' Mr Wall said.
