Archant

Its a spicy event that is bursting with flavour.

And for the third successive year, the Chilliland Lowestoft Chilli Festival is making a warm return to town.

Promising to be bigger and better than ever before, the festival takes place this Saturday, August 5 on Royal Green between 9.30am and 5pm.

Last year more than 1,000 people tackled the heat as chilli lovers and traders from far and wide indulged their fiery food passion. With stalls aplenty, a small children’s funfair, face painting and a chilli eating competition at 3pm, organisers said it will be “a fantastic day for the whole family.”

With free entry to the festival, visitors can discover some tasty artisan foods, beers and ciders, plus a variety of chilli inspired foods and drinks. Stalls will include chilli sauces, chilli sweets, chilli beer, pulled pork, chilli cakes and slices and much more with the event sponsored by Eastern Foods and Atlas Taxis.
