That was the reaction of organisers of an event that celebrated the achievements of students at the Warren School in Lowestoft.

The second annual Warren School media awards were held at the Marina Theatre last Thursday, July 11.

Celebrating the achievements of learners "fantastic work" in media sessions at the school in Clarkes Lane, Oulton Broad, a range of awards were presented including Best Actor and Actress, Best Film, Students' Choice Award and Shining Star Award.

Having learnt all about the film-making process, the ceremony saw learners come together with their families, staff and friends of the school for an evening of celebration.

A total of 12 awards were presented.

decided that we wanted to share the unique work that our learners do in their media sessions with the wider community.

"We are completely overwhelmed by the support from a wide range of businesses who kindly agreed to sponsor our awards and make the evening a resounding success."

The audience watched in awe as the categories were announced and the winners stepped up to collect their awards.

They were then treated to a performance by the Warren School Signing Choir as they opened the second half of the ceremony.

The awards evening also helped to raise funds towards the renovation of the EYFS outdoor area.
