CHILDREN were treated to the sights and sounds of South Africa when their school played host to a special visitor.

Paul Thwala, left, a Zulu warrior, came into the Warren School at Carlton Colville do an African workshop with the class.

The Key stage three pupils were treated to displays of singing and traditional musical instruments, and some joined Paul in a spot of tribal dancing. They also looked at a variety of photographs and Paul told them about the history of the Zulu warriors.

Class teacher Carolyn Gooderham said: 'All pupils were involved and engaged in the session and it helped them learn more about their African topic.'

Paul is now living in Lowestoft permanently and would welcome the opportunity to go into more schools.
