PEOPLE in Waveney are being urged to only use Waveney District Council's services on Wednesday if essential, because of the possible knock-on affect of the national day of industrial action.
The council and its operational services partner, Waveney Norse, could be affected by the industrial action called by some local government unions.
A spokesman for the council said: 'It is the council's responsibility to deliver services to the highest possible standard and work is ongoing to ensure that any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum. However, there may be some impact on services and our customers may find that, in some circumstances, it takes a little longer to be dealt with.
'The council would therefore advise anyone considering using council services, or visiting council buildings, to consider whether it is essential to do so - or whether it could wait until the following day.'
• Details of specific service disruption will be updated the council's website (www.waveney.gov.uk) and twitter page (www.twitter.com/waveneydc). Anyone with questions or concerns about any of Waveney District Council's service and how it is being affected, can call 01502 562111.
