The season of professional singers has now finished and the club will be starting their usual summer 'sing-a-round'. Jim and Tony started the evening with a rhythmical song and then we proceeded around the room, table to table.
The season of professional singers has now finished and the club will be starting their usual summer 'sing-a-round'. Jim and Tony started the evening with a rhythmical song and then we proceeded around the room, table to table. There was a variety of music, and thought provoking songs were sung both contemporary and traditional. Peter, a visitor, played the violin and accordion and the usual performers used, to name a few instruments, tambourines, drums, accordions, guitars, mandolins, clackers and bells. There is also a regular poet, Gillian, who writes her own poems and always adds an element of humour. The club welcome anyone who would like to either listen or perform, even if only for a night.
The next meeting is at the Crown Street Hall, (entrance in Factory Street) today, at 8pm.
