The meeting was held on Tuesday at St Peter's Church Hall where president Bernard Bedford welcomed 30 members. Birthday greetings were given to Ken Knight, Douglas Barker, Dick Jacobs and Terry Harris.

Birthday greetings were given to Ken Knight, Douglas Barker, Dick Jacobs and Terry Harris. Gerald Sykes said an invitation had been received from Waveney Ladies Probus Club to their birthday lunch on the May 20. Ernie Smith is suffering from a chest infection and Brian Poppy is in hospital and members send their best wishes to both. Gerry Sykes said the outdoor bowling season opens at Kensington Gardens on May 1. Len Butcher said the luncheon club meeting at Rookery Park Golf Club on Thursday is well supported. The break for coffee was courtesy of David Stow. The speaker was Richard Mann who gave a slide show on the V1 and V2 bomber and the damage it did on Britain during the second world war. The president gave a vote of thanks. The next meeting is on April 28 and the speaker will be Alan Romack when his subject will be metal detecting.
