The meeting was held on Tuesday at Pakefield Church Hall where president Bernard Bedford welcomed the19 members present. Les Risebrow gave a very satisfactory financial report.

The meeting was held on Tuesday at Pakefield Church Hall where president Bernard Bedford welcomed the19 members present. Les Risebrow gave a very satisfactory financial report. Unfortunately Tom Springate was taken to hospital with an inflamed leg. All the members wish him well. Len Butcher has arranged two Luncheon Club meetings, one at the Carlton Crown on October 15 and the other at Gunton Hall on December 3. The team chosen to represent the club against Lowestoft Probus Club on October 20 will be Bernard Bedford, Ernie Smith and Don Cook in the annual quiz. The speaker today was Chris Parfitt who gave a most interesting slide show on Easter Island. The vote of thanks was given by Geoff Bird. The next meeting will be on October 13 and the speaker will be Bernard Bedford and his subject “Antarctica.” The coffee break was courtesy of Ron Elliot and David Scott.
