The meeting was held on Tuesday at St Peter's Church Hall where president Bernard Bedford welcomed 28 members. A minutes silence was held for Terry Harris who died on Sunday. Terry was a well respected and long standing member of the club. Birthday greetings were read out for Maurise Banner, Colin Barker, Peter Sargeant, Tom Springate and Len Butcher. Albert Godfrey and Maurice Banner are not keeping too well and members sent their best wishes for a quick recovery. John Hilder said the bowls buffet was a success. Len Butcher stated that 38 people attended the luncheon club meeting at the Sailors Home. The next meeting will be at the Rookery Park Golf Club on Thursday. The speaker was Paddy Heazell who illustrated the secrets of Orford Ness. The vote of thanks was given by Gerald Sykes. The next meeting will be on June 30 and the speaker will be John Chipperfield and his subject Incas and penguins. The coffee and tea break was courtesy of Geoff Bird.
