At the RAOB Club on May 26, chairman Jean Forbes thanked Veronica Reynolds for arranging the birthday lunch at the Beaconsfield Club. In his slide show 'Peru, Incas and penguins' John Chipperfield illustrated his interest in the history of the country and its wildlife. There were scenes from the capital Lima, the ancient capital Cuzco, the pottery of Nazco and the ruined Inca city of Machu Picchu. In the national parks were egrets, brown pelicans, boobies, cormorants and condors. The penguins were Humboldt penguins. Barbara Bowler gave the vote of thanks. At the next meeting on June 9 Sophia Waters will speak about the Animal Health Trust. For further information regarding the club call 01502 560256.
