At Minsmere, with its varied habitat, many birds were seen at the feeders, with recordings of their song; dragonflies, frogs and toads were in the pond; and on the beach, sea kale and horned poppy were in flower. From the hide black-headed gulls could be seen. In Norfolk could be found the swallowtail butterfly, great crested grebe, avocet, a hare and fields of poppies. In north Lowestoft was a buttercup meadow, also spotted and bee orchids, while on the water at Oulton Broad were an Egyptian goose, a mandarin duck and a Carolina wood duck. Pat Chilvers showed Reydon wood in May with its wild flowers including carpets of bluebells. After the pictures of grey seals and different styles of boats, Alene Hunt thanked Mrs Beaumont and Mrs Chilvers for their excellent photography.

Members were invited to the meeting of Lowestoft Probus Club on July 21 and there would be a get-together for members at the next meeting on July 28.
