Shoppers in Lowestoft and Beccles are being warned to keep a close eye on their valuables following three purse thefts in Lowestoft and Beccles on Wednesday .
The first incident occurred in The Walk in Beccles at 10.30am when a 75-year-old woman and her husband were jostled by two women. The couple later realised that the woman's purse, which contained a large amount of cash, had been taken.
One of the women is described as having an olive complexion, in her late 20s to early 40s, 5ft7, of slim build with long brown hair and a long pointed nose, and was wearing blue jeans, black knee-length boots and a black jacket.
Just after 11am a 90-year-old woman was in Marks and Spencer in London Road North in Lowestoft CCTV shows two women following the 90-year-old around the shop before stealing cash from her bag. One of the offenders had long dark hair tied back and was wearing blue jeans and a black coat. The other had long gingery blonde hair and was wearing a black and white checked coat.
In a third incident a 72-year-old woman had her black velvet wallet containing cash and cards taken in The Britten Centre area between 11am and 12.15pm.
