HOUSEHOLDERS in Waveney are being given the chance to tell their local council how they think planning decisions should be made.Waveney District Council is seeking views on its development management policies, which are the criteria used to make decision about plans for houses, shops, businesses and even wind turbines and coastal defences.
HOUSEHOLDERS in Waveney are being given the chance to tell their local council how they think planning decisions should be made.
Waveney District Council is seeking views on its development management policies, which are the criteria used to make decision about plans for houses, shops, businesses and even wind turbines and coastal defences.
The public consultation runs until Friday October 23 and a final draft of the council's policy will then be examined by an independent inspector.
Exhibitions explaining the policies will take place over the next six weeks. An exhibition will run at Beccles and Halesworth libraries from Monday (today) to Sunday next week, at Bungay and Lowestoft libraries from September 21 to 27, at Lowestoft's marina customer services centre from September 28 to Friday October 2 and at Southwold information centre from September 28 to October 4.
