Engineers will be working round the clock next week to get Southwold's Christmas illuminations in place after a delay caused by recent bad weather.
The town's lights are being switched on on Friday December 4 but they have not yet been put up because of a backlog around the country caused by bad weather over the last fortnight.
Now the organisers of the town's lights have been reassured that engineers will be arriving on Sunday ready to start putting the lights up on Monday morning. A team of three people will then work round the clock for 48 hours to get the festive illuminations ready.
