More than 5,000 homes in Suffolk have been left without power after Storm Eunice brought down electricity cables across the county.
UK Power Networks, which manages the power grid, confirmed engineers were working to restore electricity to homes.
Trees have fallen throughout the day as due to high winds from the storm.
Engineers were dispatched to a village near Sudbury this morning after winds brought down power cables.
Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Orford, Framlingham, Leiston, Stowmarket and Halesworth are among the towns that have seen hundreds of homes affected by outages.
