Love was definitely in the air at the Ivy House Country Hotel, in Oulton Broad, near Lowestoft, as hundreds of couples descended on the venue to begin planning for their big day.

The EDP Wedding Show, sponsored by Dipples the family jeweller, saw more than 50 exhibitors showcase the best things the region has on offer – when it took place yesterday.

As the sun shone down, couples were inspired by personal advice and tips from some of the finest businesses – who were keen to help every step of the way.

As people considered who would be taking their photographs and doing their make-up, there was also the chance to decide whether to have a small selection of sweets, table cards and even live entertainment on the special day.

Organiser Diana Sims, general manager of weddings at Archant - publisher of the EDP, added: “We are really pleased with how the show went – the weather was fantastic which brought lots of brides and grooms out – and we had lots of groups as well.

“This is our third year here and it is a lovely venue. We have made sure there were at least 50 stands with so much variety on offer.”
