ON the recent holiday weekend May 24, 25 and 26, whilst Saturday was gloriously sunny and plenty of visitors and customers were in London Road South, the Sunday and Monday were notably wet days.
ON the recent holiday weekend May 24, 25 and 26, whilst Saturday was gloriously sunny and plenty of visitors and customers were in London Road South, the Sunday and Monday were notably wet days.
Some visitors and local people did venture out only to find very few shops open and not even a café to while away an hour over lunch.
Many of my customers were remarking on such a poor show for a bank holiday. I should hope a few more shops make an effort to encourage our welcome visitors.
I would like to make a special mention to the charity shop, whose volunteer staff turned up on a very wet bank holiday and gave their time.
