What a cracker of a show

THE Lowestoft air festival has been and gone and what a cracker it was although the two days were different weather-wise with some of the veteran exhibits unable to fly on the second day.

The Red Arrows and the Vulcan were undoubtedly the stars of the show with, in my opinion, the aircraft used by the wing walkers coming a close third.

There was a good ambience and family atmosphere on the upper esplanade. We attended as a family, all putting our £2 in the buckets, with a couple of us contributing a bit more. We cracked open a couple of bottles of wine and the “sarnies” tasted lovely.

It was a wonderful two days and the timing and continuity of the displays was excellent.

There is one suggestion I would like to make, and that is that the tannoy system next year be extended to the southern extremity of the upper esplanade.
