FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft have been kept busy with two wheelie bin blazes in quick succession.
A crew from Lowestoft South station were called out to Ipswich Road just after 7.30pm last night (Monday). A spokesman for the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that the crew spent almost 20 minutes tackling the blaze as a 'domestic wheelie bin' was 'well alight.' They quickly put out the flames and the scene was clear by 7.52pm.
Then, in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday), a crew from Lowestoft South station were called to deal with a 'suspicious fire' as wheelie bins were set alight in the town's High Street.
Firefighters spent 15 minutes tackling the blaze after being called out at 1.16am.
