Children have the chance to win a special treat for their school this Halloween with a competition being run at Pleasurewood Hills.

The family theme park, based in Lowestoft, is giving children aged under 16 the chance to win a trip to the park for their whole school for next year.

Youngsters who visit the park for Pleasurewood Chills between October 21 and October 29 will be able to carve a pumpkin and, by filling out the entry form, will automatically be entered into the competition. From all of the entries received over the Halloween-themed week, four will be shortlisted and the winner will be chosen by the park's social media followers.

Each entrant will have to name the school they attend on the entry form and the school will be notified if one of their pupils is the lucky winner.

Adam Noble, general manager at Pleasurewood Hills, said: 'This is a brilliant opportunity for children to win a fantastic day at the park for their school next summer. We hope lots of people who visit the park will come along to the pumpkin carving station - we're looking forward to seeing how creative people will be.'

Pleasurewood Chills offers Halloween-themed family fun with rides, attractions and some special spooky fun. Woody and friends will be in the Spooktacular Show which makes a return to the park's castle, there will be spooky parades around the park, trick or treat and further chances to win prizes in the fancy dress competition. And on Saturday, October 28 the evening will end with a bang with a firework display.
