Woman arrested after Lowestoft flat fire
A 37-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested and detained under the Mental Health Act following a fire at a flat in Shadingfield Close in Lowestoft.Residents from a block of flats in the town were evacuated after arsonists struck in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Residents from a block of flats in the town were evacuated after arsonists struck in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Three fire crews from Lowestoft were called to the unoccupied flat in Shadingfield Close at 1.20am and put out the flames within an hour.
The fire caused 'substantial damage' to the ground floor flat, but no-one was injured.

The woman was arrested on Saturday following the blaze and police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident to call Lowestoft police on 01986 835300.
