A NORFOLK woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a collision in which a Lowestoft man died.

Suzanne Knox, 25, from the Great Yarmouth area, was charged by Suffolk police this week in connection with the incident in Woods Loke East, Lowestoft, on Tuesday, September 21, in which 30-year-old Anthony Knox died.

Mr Knox, a married man with children, suffered fatal injuries after he was in collision with a blue Renault Scenic while walking near the junction with Fir Lane and Oulton Road at about 5.45pm. He was taken to the James Paget University Hospital but he died a short time later.

Mr Knox hailed from Balby, near Doncaster, and had lived in the local area for the past couple of years.

After the collision, Mrs Knox was arrested at the scene on suspicion of his murder. She answered bail for the third time this week, and was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

She is believed to be Mr Knox's estranged wife, although Suffolk police would not confirm this.

'Suzanne Knox answered bail earlier today (Tuesday) and was charged in connection with the collision,' a police spokesman told The Journal.

Knox was released on police bail and is due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates' Court on February 14.
