Woman drove moped into skip

A young woman drove her moped into a skip in Sands Lane, Oulton Broad, at about 9.10pm last night.

It was initially thought that the young woman, believed to be in her late teens, suffered serious injuries and the road was closed until just after 11pm.

It was initially thought that the young woman, believed to be in her late teens, suffered serious injuries and the road was closed until just after 11pm.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “She was taken to the James Paget University Hospital where she was checked and found to have cuts to her face and leg.”

The young woman's jaw was x-rayed to check for any further facial injury.

She was driving a silver 49cc scooter and anyone who saw the crash is asked to call Halesworth Roads Policing Unit on 01986 835350.
