A 34-year-old woman suffered injuries to her stomach after she was struck by eggs thrown from a vehicle in Lowestoft.
The woman was walking along Yarmouth Road, and was quite near to the Foxburrow about 8.30pm last Friday (February 18) when a small black car heading in the Corton direction slowed down near her.
Seconds later she felt a sharp blow to her abdomen, looked up and saw an egg being thrown from the vehicle. This second egg also hit her in the stomach. The car then drove away at speed. It’s thought the car was quite new and may have had tinted windows.
Police also received reports of two similar incidents in Corton Long Lane and Corton Road around the same time.
• Anyone with information about the car or its occupants is asked to call PC 1533 Last on 01986 835300.
