A young woman was punched, kicked and bitten during an early morning attack.

The incident occurred just after midnight on The Esplanade, in Lowestoft, on Sunday, January 28.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, had recently left the Shish Meze Bar and Restaurant when she was confronted by four women who knocked her to the floor. While on the floor, she was punched, kicked and bitten on the left shoulder.

The four attackers then fled the scene.

However, they are believed to be responsible for another similar attack which took place on the Esplanade around the same time.

The victim this time was a 22-year-old woman who was punched and had her hair pulled.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents or has information regarding the attacks should contact Lowestoft police on 101 quoting crime reference 37/5217/18.
