POLICE investigations were continuing today after a woman in her 30s reported being sexually assaulted in a Lowestoft alleyway.

A 23-year-old Lowestoft man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which allegedly happened in an alleyway at the back of homes in Seago Street yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the Seago Street or Ethel Road area of Lowestoft abound 1.30am to 2am yesterday (Sunday, October 31), to come forward.

'The woman reported that she had been pulled and carried along Seago Street and Ethel Road into an alleyway at the back of homes in Seago Street where the incident happened,' a police spokesman said.

'Police have arrested a 23-year-old Lowestoft man in connection with the incident. He was interviewed by officers and has now been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on December 8 pending further enquiries.'
