Two men threatened a woman with a knife in Lowestoft in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 19-year-old woman was walking along Clifton Road at about 1.55am when she was approached by two men, who stood in front of her and demanded her coat.

When she told them she did not have a coat, one of the men demanded her mobile phone and handbag and one produced a knife.

The woman started to scream loudly and tried to grab the wrist of the man holding the knife, leaving her with a cut finger.

The men then left towards Lawson Road.

One of the men is described as while, about 17-years-old, of large build, about 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a white hooded top and dark trousers.

The other was also white, about 17 or 18-years-old, thin, about 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall with dark eyes, dark eyebrows and a long fringe. He was wearing a white hooded top with dark stripes.

Anyone with information, including a man who spoke to the woman on London Road South after the incident, should contact Lowestoft police on 01986 835300.
