After the school’s annual World Book Day event was postponed earlier this month due to the snow, new hairstyles and outfits were worn last Thursday, March 8.

Some of the pupils came dressed as the likes of Peter Rabbit, Willy Wonka, Gangsta Granny and Little Red Riding Hood with prizes and certificates awarded in each of the year groups.

Staff members at the school in The Street, Corton also donned new costumes for the day – with three of the teachers praised for their Three Little Pigs outfits.

A school spokesman said: “Well done to all the children for dressing up in some amazing costumes for World Book Day.

“All the children and staff looked fantastic.”
