A Waveney planner is gearing up to take on some of the world's best multi-sport athletes this month.
Iain Robertson, who works at Waveney District Council's Lowestoft offices as an area planning officer, will be competing at the World Duathlon Championships in Nancy, France, next Sunday.
The event will see the 37-year-old, pictured, from Trowse, near Norwich, run 10km before cycling 40km and then running a further 5km.
He will be representing Great Britain in the 35 to 39 age group.
Mr Robertson, who this year won Norwich Triathlon and is the current Eastern Region Champion for the Olympic distance triathlon, said: 'I am really looking forward to competing in the world championships – the atmosphere will be amazing. I have been in great form this year and a good performance in France will be the perfect end to my season.'
The member of Norwich-based triathlon club Tri-Anglia will be joined by other club members taking part in the event, including Norwich's Chris Arnold and New Buckenham's Iain Dawson.
