Bury Town 1 Lowestoft Town 1

An entertaining Suffolk derby ended all square, with both sides finishing the game with 10 men.

Sam Johnson converted a seventh minute corner from close range to give The Trawlerboys the lead, but they suffered a major blow when keeper Luke Holt was sent off after bringing down Boatswain.

With no substitute keeper on the bench, defender Sam Nunn donned the keeper's gloves and immediately made a fine save from Edwards free kick.

But he was beaten in the 24th minute as Boatswain headed a corner home for the equaliser.

After this however, with Johnson switching from a wide role to defence, the Trawlerboys - marshalled superbly by skipper, and the stand out player on the pitch, Travis Cole - protected the stand-in keeper superbly and limited the home side.

Lowestoft still had an attacking threat despite being down to 10 men, and  they created three good chances in the rest of the first half as Hipperson had two efforts blocked and saved, while Cole had an effort cleared off the line.

A backs against the wall second half display followed as The Trawlerboys held firm and remained compact throughout.

Hinton went close for the visitors when his header was cleared off the line in the 55th minute.

Nydazayo was sent off for the home side in added on time, as the match ended all square and both teams finished with 10 men.
