Waveney & Oulton Broad Yacht Club returned to racing on Sunday, with an awkward northerly wind meaning a running start was needed.

Despite this, the fairly strong gusty wind kept the competitors on their toes with some very close racing.

Five different Streakers took to the water, with Veronica Falat the fastest finishing in third overall, while husband Ben in his Phantom took second.

But it was George Madin in his Aero that handled the gusts and the long reaches the best to win on handicap.

In the Squibs, Clever Dick (Richard Sullivan and Sue Harper) had the best timed run to the start, but it was Flame (Richard Smith and Graham Reeve) who took the lead into the first buoy and held it to the finish. Brimstone (Bryan and Jenny Riley) found a way past Clever Dick to take second.

It was slightly less gusty for the second race, allowing Veronica Falat to maintain the speed needed to win the race, followed by George Madin in his Aero and Simon Beckett in his Laser.

The Squibs saw Clever Dick perform the same well-timed run as in the first race, with Flame spinnakering first into the lead.

But this race, Clever Dick fought back to lead for a lap, before Brimstone took the lead and Flame came through to second.
