The 17-year-old Leicester Tigers Academy star has made the first team's bench for the final match of the season at Welford Road.

The Classic All Blacks will make their first ever visit to the UK - featuring New Zealand internationals Troy Flavell, Marty Holah, Filo Tia Tia and Carl Hayman with a backline including the likes of Carlos Spencer, Justin Marshall and former Tiger Daryl Gibson - to take on Leicester.

And after impressing in the previous two weeks for the first team in two rugby sevens tournaments, prop Goldspink has been catapulted onto the Tigers bench for the end of season curtain call.

Having watched him the past two Saturday's, Josh's proud mum Liz, from Lowestoft, revealed it would be extra-special to see him tread onto the Tigers turf against the All Blacks this weekend.

“Josh is now coming up to the end of his first year with the academy and this is amazing - it does not get much better than this,” she told The Journal.

But his season won't end on Sunday, as he will be off to France in forthcoming weeks for a tournament and training camp.
