WE'RE over the moon - that sums it up well!

Expectations are really high surrounding the club, not only within the league campaign, but especially in the FA Vase after last year's historic cup run.

So to stay in the competition and beat a good side, which they were, was fantastic.

The lads started well in the first half and we got on top as we took the game to them.

We scored two really good goals and could've gone in 3-0 up, but unfortunately a penalty was saved and I think had that gone in it would've killed them off.

We know they got a right rollicking at half time and they came out with nothing to lose. We showed another side of our game though and defended superbly.

They didn't look like scoring until they got a penalty, and although they had a late goalmouth scramble we held on and the boys were fantastic.

We're proud of them and to get through to the last 32 again, and secure another home draw, it's fantastic.

You have to have the whole package - strong, organised and hard to break down - and it was a great all round performance.

We had a massive crowd there again, with more than 850 fans - it was fantastic.

It makes such a difference to our game and it was a cracking cup tie for them and the right result for the people of Lowestoft.

On Tuesday, we mixed the side up with reserves and others in need of a game in the East Anglian Cup against Halstead, and unfortunately we did not get the right result.

The next round of the Vase is not until January 17 and we have a lot of league games between now and then.

This starts tomorrow at Norwich United, which is a difficult place to go, before we play Ely, Kirkley & Pakefield, Leiston and Dereham - which are five massive league games.

Dale Cockrill, Jamie Stokeld and Damian Hilton will be in contention tomorrow, Matty Potter has now resumed training while Carl Poppy should be resuming training in the next two weeks.

Everyone else should be available and we're looking forward to what should be a tough game at a difficult Norwich United ground.
