WE are really pleased this week as the lads have been terrific yet again.

We've had two difficult league games, where six points were available, and have picked up two good wins with two good performances as we've put another six points on the board.

We took it one game at a time, which we always do, as you never know what to expect with reserve teams. We went down there on Saturday looking for a better start against King's Lynn Reserves.

And to be honest, the boys responded as we were firing on all cylinders as we raced into a 2-0 lead.

Having got our noses in front we should've pressed on and kept on the front foot, but we then didn't close down a shot and they made it 2-1 to give them a bit of hope.

But in the end it was another three points away from home, as we picked up deserved, hard-earned points.

On Tuesday, Ady and I had some tough decisions to make as we had a big squad available and fit - which is the sort of situation we want and is a nice position to be in.

People could've been thinking perhaps that we'd have one eye on the Vase, but only Darren Cockrill, Russell Stock and Matty Potter were rested through some slight niggles and we needed other players in the squad to get some match fitness as well.

The boys produced a fantastic performance, with everybody solid throughout. The boys showed a great attitude to secure another clean sheet and another great night for us. But we're not getting carried away with this - we'll continue to take it one game at a time and now on Saturday something else is at stake….namely the FA Vase.

With a place in the next round up for grabs, this is a massive, massive game for us.

We've a full, big squad to choose from with Bradley Hough back into contention and everyone is fighting for a place.

A sign of a good side though is when you look at the bench - and if you have a strong bench then you must have a talented side.

Whatever happens tomorrow we'll have some tough decisions to make, but that's a nice position to be in.

It's a mouth-watering tie and hopefully we'll have a big crowd up there to cheer us on. We won't be taking anything for granted just because we're at home.

As ever in the Vase, you also need a bit of Lady Luck, and hopefully it will be shining on us tomorrow.

While all attentions are on Saturday's game, come 5pm tomorrow we than turn our focus to another massive game in the Suffolk Premier Cup semi final at Woodbridge against AFC Sudbury.
