WE are all absolutely delighted and it is thoroughly deserved.

You don't win things through luck. We've been leading at the top of the table for a long time and this is deserved.

You don't win things through luck. We've been leading at the top of the table for a long time and this is deserved.

The boys have been tremendous and they thoroughly deserved it - we're over the moon.

League tables don't lie at the end of the season and every side wants to achieve this, but only one can win it. We are that one and that's fantastic.

A lot of teams invested a lot of money in players and promised a lot, but failed to deliver. We decided upon a different approach and by getting Flem and Dave on board they have made a big difference.

We've always had a good squad, but with Flem and Dave improving the fitness and areas we needed to address they have been top drawer. It has been great and a management team with me and Ady it has worked really well - they have been fantastic.

We'd said at the start of the season if we are to win things you have to do it as a squad and as a unit - and behind the scenes it has been great as well.

Last Saturday we knew we had to bounce back after two bad results. Back to back defeats for the first time this season were the kick up the backside the boys needed and they responded in style with a superb 4-0 win against Histon Reserves.

We played some good stuff and with the win it put us in a position where if we won on Tuesday then mathematically no-one could catch us.

We had this added pressure going into the game, and some more injuries, but Jamie Stokeld spanked a cracking 30-yarder in before they equalised. Two Bradley Hough goals after this sealed the win, and it was thoroughly deserved. The players were fantastic and the fans, who have been superb all season, made loads of noise to seal the success.

It is a great achievement (to win the league) and everyone at the club deserves credit - it's not about who is on the pitch, it is all the fans, the committee, staff and chairman Gary Keyzor who has come in and done a fantastic job.

We are know 14 points clear, no-one can catch us and it's a big gap between first and second. We have Wivenhoe away tomorrow, then we have the Suffolk Premier Cup Final at Portman Road against Needham Market next Tuesday in a tough week ahead of four games in seven days.

It's great to be champions and great to be where we are - but there is still a lot of football to be played. It will be tough, but we're in a great position with one trophy under our belt - and we're hungry to still win these matches.

We'll have to utilise the squad again but we're looking forward to what will be a tough week ahead.
