THE atmosphere at Crown Meadow was electric last Saturday and it was thoroughly deserved. The boys turned up and knew what they had to do.

It's been another excellent week. With four games in seven days it was going to be tough - but we beat Wivenhoe 5-2, Needham Market 3-2 (in the Suffolk Premier Cup final), CRC 4-2 last Thursday and Walsham-Le-Willows 6-2 on Saturday to finish a fantastic week.

Certainly the fans have had value for money in terms of goals and excitement in the past week, as they've had all season.

We're so proud of the lads. The standards have been high this season yet the boys have been fantastic.

League tables don't lie and to finish on 100 points out of a possible 120, scoring 114 goals in the process is outstanding.

At the start of the season so many teams made rash predictions and spent so much, but failed to deliver. We kept quiet and just brought in Flem and Dave, who have been absolutely top drawer.

They have made such a difference and the boys responded in style. We added to the squad during the season and they have all produced - we can't praise them enough.

Ady and I are so proud of everyone - we've done this with a squad, not 11 players.

To finish with 32 wins out of 40 - with just four draws and four losses - is unbelievable really.

To have over 20,000 fans turn out at Crown Meadow over the course of the season is an absolutely awesome achievement - as is the total for 30,000 fans following us home and away.

I've said it before, the fans have had real value for money and they are the best fans at our step five level anyway in the country - so a big thank you goes to them for their fantastic support - they are second to none as they always get behind us and I know that the lads really appreciate, as do Ady and I.

Winning a league and cup double is for everyone involved at the club - all concerned - and for all the absent friends, including my Nana, and other fantastic people who are looking down on us and cheering us on from above.

A big thank you also goes to The Journal, all football followers and Journal readers for all your support.

We're now going to enjoy the summer with the first team players and management off to Magaluf today thanks to the club and sponsors who've helped fund this.

For Ady and I the work continues now though as we look towards and forward to next season.

Finally, we'd like to wish Gooky and all the Reserves the best of luck in their final two games (last night and tomorrow) and hopefully having already won the league they can win the play-off final and cup final as well, which would be fantastic.
