Two trophies were sailed for by Broads One Designs at Waveney and Oulton Broad YC.

Saturday’s Sanderling Trophy was sailed in drifting conditions with only three boats taking part.

The race had to be shortened and Richard and Louise Dell in Solan were the winners.

On Sunday the breeze was better and eight boats competed in the three-race series for the George Barker Trophy. Christian Young and Henry Cole in Harrier got away well in race one while Mark and Janet Duffield in Moorhen finishrf second. The course was reset for race two and Solan won in style, ahead of Sam Cole’s Pipit. With no discard allowed, everything depended on the final race. Kite finished first but a second place for Harrier was enough to secure the overall win by the narrowest of margins.

The Bart’s Bash allcomers race was won by new member Steve Harvey in his Comet dinghy.
