Striker Connor Ingram has left Lowestoft Town FC and rejoined Gorleston.

The forward sealed his return to his former club yesterday (Thursday) in pursuit of “more game time.”

Ingram cited his reasons to the Lowestoft management team of Jamie Godbold and Andy Reynolds, who admitted it was a “shame” that the young forward had decided to leave the club.

Lowestoft assistant manager Andy Reynolds said: “Connor will always have strong links with Gorleston.

“He wanted more game time and so we have agreed to his return to his former club.

“While one door closes, another opens, and so we will now sit down and assess ways to help the boys in the squad out.”

Reynolds said that the Trawlerboys remained in talks with Ipswich Town with regard to extending the loan deal of winger Conor McKendry.

In a statement on Lowestoft’s official website about Ingram’s departure, Trawlerboys manager Jamie Godbold added: “Connor has decided to leave the club to pursue more game time to help support his development.

“We are very disappointed to see him leave but wish him all the best for the future”.
